Subaru STI performance pack released, in Japan

Those intrepid internet scavengers over at Carscoop came across what they originally believed was the next Impreza STI, but instead it turned out to be Subaru's sport parts and accessories. Most of the products are more geared towards visual enhancement, including a front lip spoiler, side skirts, an assortment of shift knobs and, of all things, a carbon fiber inside mirror shell. Aside from a set of 18-inch, twelve spoke wheels, in either brushed or anthracite colors, and an STI-branded timing belt, there isn't much in the way of real performance goodies – yet. We're sure that Subaru Technica International is working overtime to fill that void.

STI branded timing belt? What's the point of that? Do they use transparent timing belt covers? Actually, that sounds kind of cool.

Perhaps its a better belt? =\ Some people like to cut out a little window to look at their timing belt and cogs. Its like people who cut out windows on their computer cases though...

This may be the most confusing car in recent memory, it's like that Seinfeld episode about the two-faced woman. In one set of photos such as these the new Impreza looks stubby and mean, and then another set will come out and it will appear hideous even by Subaru standards.

I love the Legacy alot and i'd much rather take a Legacy instead of an Impreza any day. The Impreza is now a hatch back but why? not many people like hatchbacks like the GTI,Astra,Mazdaspeed3,focus etc. I really don't like the new Impreza at all it looks so generic and almost like a corolla (god i hope Toyota doesn't mess with Subaru) Because Subaru is doing very well on its on and if Toyota gets its hands on them then Toyota will take Subaru's technology away. Hopefully there will be a STI Sedan and maybe a Hatchback Impreza but id really would love to see the STI Legacy and Forrester come to America they would sell very fast and very quickly.

I don't care what the tackle box faces have to say, I really like this car a lot and would love to own one. Not sure if I would buy the hatch or Sedan, but it would have to be the WRX trim, the base style sedan needs a standard spoiler
and maybe better wheels to make it more appealing, but still a good car.
